Miscellaneous Info: The APV is based upon based on the strengthend Defender 110 Land Rover Chassis . It was developed by Glover Webb for use by the British Army in Northern Ireland right about the same time that the RUC started the developement of their own Tangi patrol vehicle.  Also versions with better armor were developed and named APV 1.5 and APV 2.0(?). The APV was the successor of the VPK/HVVPK Series III "Piglet" Armored Land Rovers and the predecessor of the "Snatch" Land Rover (CAV 100)Although we have not been able to find much information about it, an Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) was also developed (See Photos Below).
