| Miscellaneous Info: | BTR is the acronym for "Bronetransporter", translated
from Russian as 'armored transporter'. The BTR-80 was an improvement of
the BTR-70 APC Series
and
was followed by the BTR-82 APC family. Although the BTR-80 has the same armament as the BTR-70 APC the weapons are more effective due
to a higher possible gun elevation level.
