| Miscellaneous Info: | This vehicle was based on the Dodge WC62 6x6 1 1/2 Ton "Fargo" truck chassis and power train. Originally designed to mount a Maxson anti-aircraft gun turret, its role was later changed to that of a scout/ reconnaissance vehicle. Even after the vehicle was dismissed as a scout vehicle, use as an armored ambulance or ammunition carrier was envisioned. However, no series production ever occured, two prototypes being the only vehicles ever built. Note: photographic evidence shows that at least one prototype had a redesigned front end. |
