| Miscellaneous Info: | The Autocannone da 100/17 su Lancia 3 Ro mounted Skoda (Models 15 & 16) 100mm howitzers which the Italians had captured during World War I. In order to reduce the weight and silhouette of the vehicle, the cab and side boards were removed and or lowered. It appears that three (3) different production "batches" were produced, all differing slightly in appearance. In fact, some of the vehicles (second batch?) mounted the Breda Model 38 8mm tank machine gun in the front cab. As the Lancia truck was a capable vehicle, it was also used to mount the 90/53 dual-purpose gun, roughly around this same time period. This vehicle was referred to as the Autocannone da 90/53 su Lancia 3 Ro. |
