This vehicle was developed as an anti-tank version of the Ford “Swamp Buggy”.  About 15 were produced before being cancelled in favor of the Dodge M6 37mm GMC.  Although the vehicle never served in the US military, a few were used by the Dutch in Suriname.  

Two of these vehicles appear to have been later modified by the addition of armored bodies for use by the Field Artillery and designated T1 and T2 Observation Post Tenders.
