Miscellaneous Info: The Fiat-Ansaldo 611 Armored Car was originally developed in the early 1930's for use by the Public Security Agents Corps and Metropolitan Police.  The cars was built using the chassis and automotive components of the Fiat 611C (Coloniale) 6x4 3-Ton Truck with a newly designed armored hull. The 611 was built in two (2) variants: The 611 A, which was armed only with machine guns and the B, which mounted a 37mm Cannon and two machine guns. Approximately 46-48 were built and served first with Italian police units and then with the Royal Army Tank Regiment in East Africa.  By all accounts the 611's performance was sub-par as they were underpowered and heavy causing it to be cumbersome to operate.  There are reports the 611's were used during World War Two in Libya for conducting secondary patrols, although apparently not seeing any combat. Ultimately, both captured vehicles and the remaining Italian stock were scrapped very soon afterwards.
