Miscellaneous Info:

The M/39 Lynx was originally built exclusively for Denmark, with eighteen (18) vehicles ordered. However, after only three (3) were delivered, Denmark was invaded by Germany, and the remaining fifteen (15) were diverted to use by Sweden.  The M/39 was built by Landsverk and was powered by a Scania-Vabis engine and fitted with a 20mm Madsen-built auto cannon.

Subsequently, Sweden ordered another forty (40) cars, but these were instead built by Volvo, renamed as the M/40.  Differences include a Volvo built engine and cannon, which was housed in a slightly different turret. The last chapter in the Lynx story started in 1958, with the Swedish selling their remaining vehicles to the Dominican Republic.  The Dominican vehicles were seen in use to the early 1980's.
