Miscellaneous Info:	The Special Purpose All-Terrain Vehicle (S-ATV) was designed to perform duties usually associated with special forces or operations teams including reconnaissance, target acquisition, counter-insurgency, quick-strike attacks and search/rescue.  The S-ATV focuses on speed and off-road ability, yet also incorporates a modular design that can be easily changed due to mission or task.  Add-on armor and the ability to increase crew seating are two of the major changes that can quickly be made due to its design. Also, its size and weight allow it to be carried as both an internal or external load by CH-47 or CH-53 helicopters and be ready for action almost immediately upon deployment.
