The Sword Light Tactical All-Terrain Vehicle (LTATV) is a multi-mission
vehicle capable of reconnaissance, light strike and search & rescue
duties. It is also referenced to as an Internally Transportable Vehicle
(ITV) as it is deployable by numerous aircraft. These include the
C17 and C130 aircraft, CH-47 and CH-53 helicopters and most importantly,
the V-22 Osprey Tilt-Rotor aircraft. In addition, it can be deployed by
Low-Velocity Aerial Delivery (LAPS) or the Joint-Precision Air-Drop
System (JPADS). |
