Country of Origin/Used by: Produced by Germany but used by many countries including Argentina, Costa Rica, Denmark, El Salvador, Morocco, Peru, Saudi Arabia & the United Nations.

Manufactured by: Rheinmetall Land Systems (previously Rheinstahl Maschinenbau and then Thyssen Maschinenbau)

Armament: Normally armed with (1) 7.62mm machine gun. However some of the Salvadoran vehicles were armed with (1) .50 cal. M2HB Heavy & (1) 7.62mm M60D Medium Machine Guns
Engine: (6) Cylinder Turbo-Diesel
Miscellaneous Info: Based on Mercedes-Benz UNIMOG 4x4 chassis.  Came in a variety of variants including Ambulance, Command/Communications, Reconnaissance and Internal Security.  The last production version was called the UR-416M.  Note: There is false information available that states this vehicle was used by the Dutch.
