| Miscellaneous Info: | The Wzor 34 (WZ.34) Armored Cars were converted from a number of Citroën-Kégresse WZ.28 Halftrack Armored Cars because the latter were found to be lacking in performance when compared to less-complicated wheeled vehicles. The initial WZ.34's used a large portion of the halftrack chassis, but had new axles and armored bodies fitted. Subsequent variants of the armored Car (referred to as the WZ-34-I and WZ.34-II) had additional changes and modifications made, most notably with upgraded engines, rear axles, electrical systems and hydraulic brakes. Also, the later variants had redesigned (but very similar) armored bodies and turrets fitted as well. Identification of the different variants is difficult as there was constant upgrading of earlier vehicles to later standards. |
