Although related to the Eagle 1,2 and 3, it is a very different vehicle as it is based on the DURO Chassis rather than on AM General heavy ECV HMMWV chassis (i.e. M1113/M1114).

Developed in Switzerland, as a private venture, it now serves in the Danish, German and Swiss militaries. Known variants fielded by the Germans are the Ambulance, Command, and Patrol/Security Vehicles. GDELS is now marketing the Eagle IV’s replacement, the similar Eagle V 4x4 Light Tactical Vehicle.
