Later during its service, the series was renamed to ABC-79: Amfibiu Blindat pentru Cercetare, or "Amphibious Armored Reconnaissance Vehicle", in English. Besides the main, turreted Armored Recon Vehicle, there are other variants, including an Anti-Aircraft Vehicle (CA-95M), AA Reload Vehicle (ML-A95M), APC, Artillery Observation Vehicle (TAB-79A PCOMA) and, Mortar Carrier (TAB-79AR). |
