The Bulat ("Steel" in English) SBA-60K2 Armored Personnel Carrier (APC)
was developed, based upon the design of the
BPM-97 Border
Patrol Vehicle, although
using the longer KAMAZ-5350 6x6 truck chassis instead. Fourteen (14)
vehicles were built and initially put into service and a reported 50
additional APC's were also purchased later; although we have not been
able to confirm the later acquisition. Although the Bulat was developed as an APC, other roles can be performed, including escort, patrol and reconnaissance. The series can also be fitted with specialized equipment to perform other duties as well. Examples include the 15M107 Listva Mine Clearing Vehicle and the Rat'h Anti-Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). |
