Like its predecessor, the Cobra Armored Personnel Carrier, the Cobra 2 Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicle) is a flexible design based upon a modular approach. The primary Personnel Carrier (PC) variant can be built as a basic and inexpensive utilitarian vehicle, yet be improved with many optional features to upgrade its performance capability. Most notably a slew of different weapons and mounts are provided as options.  Reportedly, the vehicle platform can be built in 30 configurations which include Anti-Aircraft, Anti-Tank, Command & Control, Internal Security, "Jammer" (electronic attack system) Platform, Medical Evacuation, Mortar Fire Detection Radar, Reconnaissance & Surveillance, Recovery and Satellite Communications.  There's also a separate fully amphibious variant, which is purpose-built and substantially different from the rest of the series.  Finally, although at the time of writing (2024), there is no replacement vehicle available yet, a separate uprated vehicle named the Cobra 2 Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle is offered by Otokar. The primary differences are that it is larger and more heavily armored.
