Armament:	Various Weapons and Systems can be fitted depending on mission or variant.  These include turrets mounting a main gun and co-axial machine gun, Remote Weapons Systems/Cupolas mounting 12.7mm Heavy MG, 40mm Automatic Grenade Launcher or 7.62mm MG, SAM System, Anti-Tank Guided Missiles (ATGM) and a myriad selection of guided and unguided missile/rockets systems.

Miscellaneous Info:	The CRAB was first privately developed by Panhard Defense as a replacement option to many of the older/obsolete armored car designs in service around the world.  However soon after, they presented the CRAB to the French military as an option for consideration in "Project Scorpion": the  program to replace the VBL Scout Car, currently in service. The Project Scorpion vehicle selection process is still active and should be completed by 2018. One interesting fact about the CRAB's mobility is that it can rotate its wheels perpendicular to its chassis/hull and move laterally like the real Crab. Variants of the CRAB marketed by Panhard Defense are: Committment Support Armored Vehicle - Type 1 (with 12.7mm HMG/LG40 HORNET Cupola), Committment Support Armored Vehicle - Type 2 (with Multi-Role/Purpose Guided Missiles or ATk ATGM System), Combat & Reconnaissance Armored Vehicle (with Cockerill remote CPWS 20-25-35 Turret, 7.62mm co-axial MG and optional selection of guided missile systems), Anti-Aircraft Support Vehicle (with MBDA MISTRAL SAM System & 12.7mm HMG), C2 (Command & Control) Vehicle (with 7.62mm WASP Cupola) and ZU Fire Support Vehicle (with 12.7mm Gatling Gun Cupola & Concrete Piercing Rockets).
