Miscellaneous Info:	The M1127 Reconnaissance Vehicle (RV) is the reconnaissance, surveillance and scout variant in the Stryker vehicle series.  It contains enough room to accommodate the crew and a 5-man reconnaissance team with their equipment.  The main reconnaissance asset of the RV is the Long Range Advanced Scout Surveillance System (LRAS3) which has a capability of to detect targets up to a range of 15 km.  Over its lifespan, the M1127 has been upgraded with improvements, although it is NOT one of the vehicles that has been selected to be fitted with the new Double-V Hull (DVH).  However, another new Stryker vehicle has been selected to perform the same tasks: the ICVV-A1 [Infantry Carrier Vehicle fitted with Double-V Hull & Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) enhancements and equipped with Scout Mission Equipment Package (MEP)]. The M1127 RV is VERY similar in appearance and often confused with the M1131 Fire Support Vehicle (FSV).
