Miscellaneous Info:	The M1131 Fire Support Vehicle (RV) is the Stryker variant used by Fire Support Teams (FIST) to perform their duties as artillery forward observers.  It contains enough room to accommodate the crew and a 3-man FIST.  The main observation and surveillance asset of the FSV is the Fire Support Sensor System (FS3) Mission Equipment Package which also has an attached Laser Designation Module (LDM).  The FSV is one of the vehicles that has been fitted with the new Double-V Hull (DVH) to protect against Improvised Explosive Devices (IED's).  The vehicles fitted with the DVH are referred to as the M1251 FSVV and the vehicles with added enhancements as outlined in the Engineering Proposal Change (ECP), the M1251 FSVV-A1.  The M1131 FSV is VERY similar in appearance and often confused with the M1127 Reconnaissance Vehicle (RV).
