Miscellaneous Info:	The French military initiated the Protected Small Vehicle Program (PVP- Petit Véhicule Protégé) to replace their P4P Protege Protected Vehicles.  The new vehicle was to be used in the command, liaison and light patrol roles.  The eventual winner was the Auverland A4 Armored Vehicle Light (ALV).  Auverland was the parent company of Panhard General Defense.  Subsequently, Renault Trucks Defense bought Auverland/Panhard (and others) and renamed it the Arquus Defense.  The PVP was also remarketed as the Dagger PVP Light Armoured Liaison All-Terrain Vehicle.  The PVP was also submitted as a four-door entry (the Gavial) for a similar German vehicle program, which was ultimately won by the Enok Light Armored Patrol Vehicle. The PVP can be built in different base models including the PVP Armored Personnel Carrier (APC), Heavy Duty (HD) and Extra Large (XL). Variants of all base models include the APC, Command & Liaison, Law Enforcement and Pick-Up.
