Miscellaneous Info: The Renault Model 1915 armored car quickly replaced the earlier Model 1914 vehicle, which did not perform very effectively in its intended anti-aircraft role. Surprisingly, the Model 1915 was quite different in appearance even though it was not built much later than the 1914 car.  The 1915 Renault was now built to be used both as a traditional armored car as well as an anti-aircraft vehicle.  Like its contemporary, the Peugeot Model 1914 armored car, two versions were built, mostly differentiated by the armament they carried.  The "Automitrailleuse" mounted a 8mm St. Etienne machine gun for ground use and the "Autocanon" mounted a 37mm cannon designed to be used against both ground and air targets.
