Armament: (1) 7.62mm Machine Gun (In Ring Mount) = From 1984 onward.  Prior to that, no armament mounted.  Also, it had 8 gun ports for use by passengers and roof-mounted smoke grenade launchers could also be fitted.

Miscellaneous Info: The SB 401 Patrol Vehicle is based upon the chassis of the 109 inch (long wheel base) Land Rover Series 3 vehicle.   Also used by the RUC (Royal Ulster Constabulary) of Northern Ireland.
