Miscellaneous Info:	In the mid 2010's, the French military started looking for a replacement to its Panhard VPS 1 (Véhicule Patrouille Spéciale*) for some of its Special Forces units. That program was named Véhicule Léger Forces Spéciales (VLFS) and a vehicle selection was made in approximately 2016.  However, delays and troubles plagued the project from the start, so the French decided to choose an "interim" vehicle while the VLFS could be finalized.  This new vehicle program was referred to as VPS 2. Translated to English, VPS stands for "Special Patrol Vehicle"*.  The Jankel Tactical Systems' Fox Long Range Patrol Vehicle (later renamed the Jankel Fox by Masstech) was selected as the VPS 2. The name change was ultimately a result of Jankel's financial collapse and much of their intellectual property being sold to NP Aerospace.  Regardless, Technamm SAS license builds the VPS 2 in France using a Toyota Land Cruiser chassis and automotive components (Model HZJ79).
