Miscellaneous Info: The initial "Snatch" vehicles were based on the coil sprung Defender 110 Land Rover Chassis, although later improvements were made, resulting in the "Snatch 1.5", "Snatch 2A and B" and "Snatch Vixen" vehicles.  The vehicle is armoured with the CAMAC glass fibre composite and was the successor of the Glover-Webb APV.

The Snatch 1.5 was a "Desertized" early vehicle, which included equipment that helped it perform in hotter environments, including an air conditioning system. The Snatch 2 was an upgraded model, including a new turbo-diesel engine, but only used as training vehicle. The Snatch 2A was also simililarly upgraded and "Desertized", while the 2B was fitted with most of the same improvements, besides the A/C. The Snatch "Vixen" is an even further upgraded model, including a new automatic gearbox, strengthened chassis, uprated suspension and includes under-body armor below the front cab. Some later "Snatch" Landy's are based upon the
Land Rover XD "Wolf" TUM chassis
