August 26th It's "Dingo Days" here at WW, so we've put up some new photos of the Dingo 2 Recovery Vehicle
August 25th The end of the drought of new material is at hand; hopefully. So, with that we've added photos of the new Dingo 2 Pick-Up equipped with Bridgelayer Apparatus.  
August 22nd There's more hobby modeling products that have been announced. They are Passion Model's 1/35 Type 16 MCV Muzzle Brake (P35-141); Real Model's 1/35 M54 Gun Truck "Black Widow" Conversion (RM35163), M54 Gun Truck "Satan's Lil' Angel" Conversion (RM 35164), and M54 Gun Truck "Uncle Meat" Conversion (RM 35166), all for the new AFV Club kit; Star Decals' 1/35 "Axis & East European Tank Mix #4: R.O.A. August 12th   We've received the August issue of Classic Military Vehicle magazine and it contains the article "Trailer Queen" by Louise Limb.  The article covers the Land Rover Series 3 Lightweight.
August 5th Today's update is in the form of some photos of the Puch Sandviper Special Operations Vehicle via the Austrian Bundesheer.
August 4th

Blast Models' is at it again with even more hobby product announcements.  They are 1/35 VAB Uniroyal Sagged Wheels with Air Pressure Control Hubs (BL35346K), VAB Valorise Armor Conversion (BL35347K), VAB Valorise Roof Rack Stowage Box (BL35348K), and VAB Chassis Stowage Boxes (BL35349K), all for the Heller kit.

July 28th

July 24th

One hobby modeling product has been announced in the past few days, the Panda Hobby 1/35 Cougar H A1 ISS 4x4 MRAP Model Kit (35040).

July 22nd

Here's some hobby modeling product announcements that have been released recently.  Please note that a number of these kits do not yet have product numbers assigned to them.  The items are, AFV Club's 1/35 M1296 Stryker Dragoon Model Kit (No product #); Hobby Boss' 1/35 British Jackal 1 4x4 HMWP, Jackal 2 4x4 HMWP and Coyote 6x6 TSV Model Kits (No product numbers); Meng Model's 1/35 British Army Husky Tactical Support Vehicle (TSV) Model Kit (VS-009); and Trumpeter's 1/35 Russian Pantsyr-S1 (SA-22 Greyhound) Air Defense System Model Kit (No Product #).

July 21st We've added new photos of the Husar Light Multi-Role Vehicle, which is the Austrian version of the IVECO Italian Lince, British Panther, etc.
July 17th   The July issue of Classic Military Vehicle magazine has arrived and it is mostly dedicated to the 74th Anniversary of the D-Day Invasion.  So, there's not much specifically dedicated to wheeled vehicles, although some articles are relevant.  However, there is a follow-up by John Carroll to his article from last month, which covered his 2012 Jeep trip across Egypt; this one titled "Desert Ghosts".
July 8th Just a small update for now.  DEF Model has announced two more hobby products: a 1/35 M1224 Maxx Pro MRAP Sagged Wheel Set (DW35106) for the Bronco Model kit and JGSDF Type 16 MCV Sagged Wheel Set (DW35107) for the forthcoming Tamiya kit.
July 3rd Today we've added more photos of Clive Elliott's beautiful FV 1609 Humber Pig Prototype APC.
June 26th We're back to posting some of Christophe Jacquemont's photos from his trip to the Musee' des Blindes at Samur, France a few months ago.  Here are links to some photos of the AML-90 Armored Car and MRW-122 MLRS displayed there.
June 23rd Today we've posted Ron Damratowski's review of the Tiger Model 1/35 ERC-90 F1 "Lynx" Armored Car, kit courtesy of Merit International, LLC.
June 21st Freedom Model Kits have announced three new plastic model kits.  They are a 1/35 CM32 Cloud Leopard Taiwan Infantry Fighting Vehicle (TIFV) with Remote Weapons System (15102), CM32 TIFV with 30mm Chain Gun (15103) and CM32 TIFV 105mm Mobile Gun Platform (15104).
June 19th Content Editor Dave has updated our PDF datasheets covering the Casspir Mark 2 APC and SPY (4x4) Reconnaissance Vehicle.
June 17th Today we've added a new index covering the Special Purpose All-Terrain Vehicle (S-ATV).

June 7th   We have the June issue of Classic Military Vehicle magazine in hand and it doesn't disappoint.  The articles of note are "Ice Cold In Alex" (the author reminiscing about his Jeep trip across Egypt in the footsteps of the LRDG) by John Carroll, "Jeep on the Cheap" (discusses alternatives to purchasing WWII Jeeps) also by John Carroll, "Trucks on Tracks" (covers a Series One 88 inch wheel base Land Rover with Cuthbertson Track Conversion) by Louise Limb and "Two of a Kind" (featuring the Australian Scout Car S1) by Jason Belgrave.
May 31st We've added a separate index covering the Peugeot P4 All-Terrain Vehicle.

Also, a couple more hobby modelling products have been announced, including Blast Models' 1/35 Maxx Pro Dash Wheel Set (BL35322K) for the Panda Model kit and Toro Model's 1/35 "Polish Army Vehicles On Foreign Missions - Vol. 1" Decal Set (35D50) which covers the BRDM-2 M96lk, BRDM-2 Zbik, Cougar 4x4 MRAP, M1114 HMMWV, M-ATV and Maxx Pro MRAP.  
May 27th Today, we have some of Christophe's detail photos of the Panhard 178 AMD 35 Armored Car from Samur.

Also, there's one hobby model product that has been announced by FC Model Trend;  their 1/35 Spanish C15TA "Trumphy" Conversion Set (35441) for the IBG kit.
May 20th

  The June 2018 issue from WW sponsor Airfix Model World Magazine has arrived and it contains an article titled "Eastern Storm" by Cristian Lupu.  The article covers his build of the 1/35 Takom KAMAZ 63968 Typhoon K MRAP model kit.

May 19th We're back to Christophe's trip to Samur today.  We've put up his Dutch YP-408 APC photos, as well as some others we had in "deep storage".

May 15th With great happiness, we present a new vehicle index covering the Land Rover Defender HS/XD "Wolf" 110 Weapons Mount Installation Kit Series (AKA: Land Rover WMIK).
May 6th It's "Samur Sunday".  To "Selibrate", we're posting more of Christophe's pics, these of the BOV-3 SPAAG.
May 5th I hope no one is getting tired of photos from Samur, because that is what we have again today courtesy of Christophe.  Here's some new pics of the Marmon-Herrington Mark 4 Armored Recon Car.
May 3rd More content from Christophe, these being photos of the Brazilian EE-9 Cascavel 2 Armored Recon Vehicle.
May 1st We've added more pics from Christophe's trip to Samur, these being of the Panhard EBR-ETT Armored Personnel Carrier.
April 28th Christophe Jacquemont is back with photos of his visit to the Musee' des Blindes at Saumur, France.  Today, we feature his first installment, which comes in the form of pics of the La Rochelle Improvised Armored Car.

Also, we have one hobby modeling product that was recently announced: Miniarm's 1/35 Modul DM (Remote Weapons System) for the KAMAZ-63968 Typhoon-K (B35168).
April 22nd Courtesy of the U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery Museum, we have some new photos of the LAV -AD (Air Defense) variant.
April 20th A new book by Nuts & Bolts has been announced.  It is titled "Büssing’s schwere Pz.Spähwagen Part 3: schw.Pz.Spähwagen (SdKfz.234) (8-Rad Tp.) and Variants" (Volume 40) and authored by Holger Erdmann and Martin Block.

April 11th Today we've put up a few bits and bobs in the form of new photos of the NZLAV IMV and Supacat SPV400 Protected Vehicle.
April 8th We've added a few Bison APC photos courtesy of the Canadian Army and the Department of National Defence & the Canadian Armed Forces.

Also, Blast Models has announced a new product, a 1/35 AMD 178 (Armored Car) Stowage Set (BL35317K) for the ICM kits.
April 4th   The April issue of Classic Military Vehicle magazine has already arrived and it contains a couple articles that should be of interest to you, our visitiors.  They are "Douglas Gets His Jeep" (featuring a rebuild of an early Willys "Slat-Grill" MB Jeep) written by Marvin Port and "Six Wheels On My Wagon" [covering 6x6 variants of the Australian "Perentie" Land Rover (and essentially Part 2 of the series)] by Craig Watson.
April 3rd It seems we can't tear ourselves away from the Stryker series.  We've found more pics of the M1296 Stryker Dragoon (ICV-D) via the U.S. Army as well as from the U.S. 2nd Cavalry Regiment.
April 2nd Completely switching gears from the modern vehicles we've been covering lately, we've updated our WWII era Danish V-3 Armored Car Vehicle Index, including a bunch of new photos via the Frihedsmuseets Fotoarkiv.
April 1st Today's addition are U.S. Army photos showing an M1151 HMMWV OPFOR Surrogate Vehicle of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment stationed at the National Training Center at Ft. Irwin, California.
March 31st Not getting away from the Stryker series quite yet, but we've added some new photos of the M1127 Recon Vehicle via the US Air Force.

Also, there's been another hobby product announced by Kit Form Services; a 1/24th Land Rover Series 2a Ambulance Model Kit (KFS-TQ228).
March 29th It's with great satisfaction that we present the final variant in the Stryker series, the M1131 Fire Support Vehicle (FSV).
March 27th Sticking with the Stryker series, we've added a new index covering the M1130 Command Vehicle (CV).

Also, there's one new hobby modeling product recently announced, DEF Model's 1/35 RG-31 Mark 5 MRAP Sagged Wheel Set (DW35103).
March 23rd Our next installment in the Stryker Story, is the new index covering the M1135 Nuclear, Biological & Chemical Recon Vehicle.
March 21st Continuing on our march to include all the Stryker variants, we've added a new index covering the M1133 Medical Evacuation Vehicle (MEV).
March 20th   The March issue of Classic Military Vehicle magazine has arrived and it contains two (2) articles of interest to "our type".  They are "Better Late Than Never" (featuring the rare four-wheel steering Ford GP 'Jeep' Utility Vehicle) written by John Carroll and "Project Perentie: Part 1" (covering the Australian Land Rovers) by Craig Watson.
March 19th After a bit of a hiatus, we've added 90+ detail photos of the M1128 Stryker MGS.
March 8th The past few Stryker additions have drummed up a little more "business" lately in form of more photos submitted to us.  Courtesy of Rob Skipper, we have added some of his M1128 MGS and M1134 ATGM detail photos.

Also, one hobby modeling product has been announced by Djiti's Production: their new 1/35 VBCI Wheel Set (35079) for the Heller kit.
March 6th Today we present a new vehicle index covering the XM-1296 Stryker Infantry Carrier Vehicle- Dragoon (ICV-D).
March 4th Staying on the "heavy" Stryker theme, here's some new photos of the M1134 ATGM Vehicle, also via the US Army.
March 3rd The past few days we've been working behind the scenes to update our Stryker IAV Series Index.  So with that, here are some new photos of the M1128 Stryker Mobile Gun System, courtesy of the US Army.
February 24th Tankograd Publishing has announced another reference for us: "GTK Boxer A0-A1-A2: The Multirole Armoured Wheeled 'Mothership' of the German Infantry", which is authored by friend of WW, Ralph Zwilling.
February 18th   We got our February 2018 issue of Classic Military Vehicle magazine and it doesn't disappoint as there's lots for us interested in armored cars and wheeled fighting vehicles. The applicable articles are "Autocars at Amiens" by Tim Gosling, "Battle Bus"  (featuring a replica M54 5-Ton Gun Truck) authored by Louise Lamb, "Radios and Rifles" (covering a Land Rover Series III FFR Lightweight) by Clare Westbrook and "Years Ahead of Its Time" (highlighting the prototype Standard Jungle Airborne Buggy) written by Duncan Glen.
February 17th Good friend of WW, George Bradford, has started producing new scale AFV line drawings again and is offering up his entire line up for purchase.  So, we've added a hyperlink to his page AFV News Tank Plans on our "Links" section.
February 11th Today, we've posted the last vehicle index covering the British-built WWI era Austin cars, the Austin 3rd Series (Improved)/ 4th Series Armored Car.
February 10th Getting close to the end of the "Austin Story", with the addition of a vehicle index covering the Austin (3rd Series) Armored Car.

Also, a couple more hobby model product announcements to post.  They are Mantis Miniatures' 1/35 Willys Jeep Basket & Canvas Set (MAC-14) for the Tamiya kit and Miniarm's (re-released) 1/35 BRDM-1 Sagged Wheel Set (B35062) and 1/35 Tigr-M Kord 12.7mm Heavy Machine Gun on 6U16 Turret (B35152) for the Meng Model kit.
February 9th One quick update for now.  Model Miniature has announced two new products: a 1/72 Panhard VBL MILAN Anti-Tank Vehicle Model Kit (MM-R222) and a 1/72 Diorama (EBR) Tire Set (MM-R223).
February 6th Following up on Sunday's addition, we've uploaded a new vehicle index covering the Austin (2nd Series) Armored Car.

February 1st   We received the January 2018 issue of Classic Military Vehicle magazine and it contains a number of articles with coverage of armored cars/wheeled fighting vehicles. They are "Champion Fun" by Toby Savage (sharing his memories of "off-roading" with an Austin Champ), "Porsche's Masterpiece"  authored by Karl Ludvigsen (covering the Type 166 Schwimmwagen) and "Wheels of Steel" written by Louise Lamb [featuring the Belgian Minerva TT (licensed built Land Rover Series 1) Utility Vehicle].
January 28th Here's a couple stragglers in terms of hobby modelling products recently announced.  They are ICM's 1/35 Panhard P 204(f) Armored Car with CDM Turret Model Kit (35377) and the book "IDF Jeeps", authored by Tom Gannon and published by Trackpad Publishing.
January 27th Today's addition is a new vehicle index covering the Canadian LAV 6.0/LAV III Upgrade (LAV UP).
January 26th Yes, we have a few more photos via Vitaly; these of the BRDM-2 RkHB Chemical Recon Car.
January 21st Vitaly Kuzmin is back with photos of the BTR-80 based BREM-K Armored Recovery Vehicle.
January 18th Just a wee update in the form of hobby modeling products announced by KMT. They are 1/35 Paquetages (Stowage) AML-60 OPEX (KMT 35053K) and Paquetages AML-90 OPEX (KMT 35054K), both for the applicable Takom kit.
January 16th Long time friend of WarWheels Julio Montes, has provided more photos of the Gaucho Light Strike Vehicle (LSV).
January 15th Going back toward our hobby modeling focus, we have some photos of John Wendt's 1/35 Revell of Germany Fuchs NBC Detection Vehicle Model seen at this past Saturday's AMPS Chicagoland club meeting.
January 11th   Probably due to the holiday mail rush, I finally got the December 2017 issue Classic Military Vehicle magazine. As usual, it has a couple articles dedicated to our ilk, including "Dump Trucks" authored by Glenn Sands (which features a replica U.S. SEAL Mazda B-Series Pick-Up) and "Fighting Fit" written by Louise Lamb and covering the Austin Champ Utility Vehicle.

Also, we have one hobby modeling product announcement by Hong Kong Creation Workshop: a 1/35 Saladin Mark 2 Armored Car Update Set (HKCW CK3525) for the Dragon kit.
January 8th Today's update is a new index covering the Special Operations Vehicle (SOV) produced by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann.
January 6, 2018 Happy New Year folks!  To start out the year, we've posted a new vehicle index of the Swedish Archer FH77 BW L52 Self-Propelled Howitzer.
