Miscellaneous Info:

The Armored Combat Support Vehicle (ACSV) family was designed to provide a series of vehicles to fulfill the roles and duties previously performed by the Bison APC Series and M113 Tracked Light Vehicles (TLAV). The ACSV shares commonality of parts and technologies with the Light Armored Vehicle 6.0 (LAV 6.0 series to lower operating costs and logistical support difficulties.  Although only in limited service at the time of writing (2024), the ACSV will eventually be built in eight (8) variants, using two hull/roof configurations.  The "Type 2" is the high hull/roof configuration and the "Type 3", is simply shorter. The variants are:

Type 2: Ambulance, Command Post, Electronic Warfare, Engineer and Troop/Cargo Vehicle;

Type 3: Fitter/Cargo Vehicle, Maintenance & Recovery Vehicle & Mobile Repair Team.

Ambulance vehicles started being accepted into service by the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) in late 2023, while the Command Post and Troop/Cargo Vehicles (TCV) started becoming available in 2024. Interestingly though, a small number (39?) of TCV's were sent to Ukraine in 2022, even before the CAF. Also, in 2024 Ambulances were provided to Ukraine as well. Once the order is complete, the total will be 50.
