Miscellaneous Info: The Expanded Capacity Vehicle (ECV) series was built with a number of improvements to increase mobility and performance over the earlier HMMWV's. The most substantial improvements were a heavier chassis and suspension, uprated brakes, new cooling, exhaust and steering systems and a more powerful turbo-diesel engine. The vehicles in the ECV family are the 2-Door M1113 Cargo/Troop/Shelter Carrier, 4-Door M1114 Uparmored Armament Carrier, US Air Force's M1116 Uparmored Base Security/Personnel Carrier and M1145 Uparmored Forward Air Control Vehicle.  There are also references to an M1115 Uparmored TOW Missile Carrier, but we have not found any evidence it was ever produced.
