December 27th Patrick has finished his reviews of the final two books in the new Tankograd/Carl Schulze Fuchs series, for the Armor Modeling and Preservation Society (AMPS). December 26th We've put up a new vehicle index entry for the winner of the US Ground Mobility Vehicle (GMV) 1.1 competition, the Flyer 72 Advanced Light Strike Vehicle
December 21st Today we've added photos of the Jackal 1 and 2 High Mobility Weapons Platform via the British Ministry of Defence.
December 16th We've added a new vehicle index for the Hungarian WW2-era 39M Csaba Armored Car.
December 14th One more set from the Bundesarchiv to complete the trifecta of small WWII-era German vehicles: photos of the Sdkfz 223 Fu (Radio) Armored Car.
December 13th Back to the Bundesarchiv!  We've posted some of their photos of the Sdkfz 221 Armored Car.

Also, one hobby modeling product has been announced by Blitz-Workshop that is of interest to us "wheelies": a 1/35 set of Sdkfz 254 Wheels (BA35051) for Hobby Boss model kit.
December 12th Today, we've added a few "odd's and ends" in the form of single or double photos of the Daimler Armored Car, Humber Mark 2 Armored Car, Humber Scout Car and M3A1 Scout Car via the Imperial War Museum.

December 9th Our addition to the site for today is via the German Bundesarchiv.  We have uploaded some contemporary photos of the Sdkfz 222 Armored Car.

Also, Model Miniature  has announced two more hobby products: a Limited Edition 1/72 AMX-10RC "Counter IED" Recon Vehicle Model Kit (MM-R152) and 1/72 HEMTT Load Handling System Truck with M-989 Trailer (MM-R151).
December 4th We only have a very small update in the form of one photo; showing RAF Rolls Royce Armored Cars (Circa 1929) via Gordon Angus Mackinlay.  
December 3rd If you are interested in World War Two Era German vehicles you're in luck.  Courtesy of new WW contributor Clint Freeman, we have added a whopping 180+ detail photos of the Sdkfz 222 Armored Car.

Also, Service Publications has released their new book "The Iltis In Canadian Service" (WOW042), which is authored by Clive Law.
December 2nd Today we are listing a couple hobby modeling products announced by our friends at Model Miniature.  First, they are releasing a 1/72 resin model kit of the VAB T20-13 APC with 20mm Gun (MM-R148), which includes a full interior and AK-Interactive painting guide.  Also, they're coming out with a 1/72 model kit of the VAB APC with CB-127 (12.7mm HMG) Turret (MM-R149), that one also including a full interior, but instead coming with a figure & 2 jerry cans.
November 30th   If you haven't heard, WW Sponsor Key Publishing, has acquired the well known magazine Classic Military Vehicle and combined it into one publication with the now defunct Military Machines International Magazine. The December issue of CMV has arrived and it contains two articles that cover armored cars/wheeled fighting vehicles.  They are, "Austin Gipsy"  authored by Pat Ware and "Seeing Red" (highlighing the vehicles seen at the 2014 Russian Red Square Victory Day Parade), authored by Jim Kinnear.  
November 29th After a bit of a hiatus, we've posted photos of the Morris Commercial C9/B 3-Ton (60cwt) 4x4 Truck with 40mm Bofors Anti-Aircraft Gun.

And is the case lately, we have a few hobby modeling product announcements including the Meng Models' 1/35 U.S. Cougar 6×6 MRAP Model Kit (SS-005), Panda Hobby's 1/35 Cougar 4x4 MRAP Model Kit (PH 35003) and Tamiya's 1/35 U.S. 6x6 Ambulance Truck M972 Gama Goat Model Kit (35342).

November 19th Today we have a couple hobby modeling product announcements to share: Accurate Armour's 1/35 Land Rover CAV100 "Snatch" - N. November 18th Julio Montes is back with photos of a Paraguayan EE-11 Urutu APC.
November 16th Going opposite of our latest "modern" direction, we've added a couple new photos of the T2 Observation Post Tender Vehicle.

And hobby model product news continues to trickle in with an announcement by L.Z. Models about their upcoming 1/35 German DAK CMP Ford F15 Truck with 2cm Flak 30 Model Kit (5412).
November 15th Today's addition are two "new" photos of the Egyptian Commando Scout.

Also, SKP Model has announced a new hobby modeling product; a 1/35 GAZ-67 Utility Vehicle Wheel Set (SKP254) for the Trumpeter model kit.
November 13th We've added additional photos of the Buffalo Mine Protected Clearance Vehicle and Husky Towing/Mine Detection Vehicle.

Also, one more hobby modeling product has been announced by Black Dog: their 1/35 MTVR Mk. 23 "Gun Truck" Conversion Set (T35126) for the Trumpeter model kit.

October 17th Dan Schlenoff, a writer for the Scientific American Blog Network, made us aware of his short article titled  "Anecdotes from the Archives: Censorship and Armored Cars, Circa 1914" , which covers the Austro-Daimler Model 1904 Armored Car Also, Dan secured permission from Scientific American Magazine to kindly allow us to post some of their originally published content here at WW.
October 16th We're still working on the Bantam vehicles, today's installment being a new vehicle index for the Bantam Recon Car No. 1; the grand-daddy of the Jeep.
October 12th We've extensively updated our vehicle index for the T2/T2E1 37mm Gun Motor Carriage.
October 10th Since we've been posting tons of photos of older vehicles, we've decided to throw in some of newer vehicles.  Today, we've put up more pics of the M1249 MaxxPro Recovery Vehicle via Joe Trevithick.
October 9th New WW contributor Bill Kish, has sent us detail photos of his newly acquired M20 Armored Utility Car The M20 was previously owned by the Military Vehicle Technology Foundation (AKA: The Jacques Littlefield Collection).
October 5th Up goes our new vehicle index for the British Willys MB/ Ford GPW Airborne Jeep.
October 4th We've posted some photos of a Humber Light Recon Mark 3a that is currently displayed at the RAF Museum - Hendon.
October 3rd It's back to the Jeep for us.  We've added over 60 photos of an early production (1942) Ford GPW Jeep; many of the pictures detail oriented.
October 2nd Today, we've posted additional pictures to an already established photo gallery of a 1942 manufactured Daimler Dingo Mark 2 Scout Car.

Also, a hobby modeling product has been announced by SKP Model.  They are releasing the 1/35 Schwimwagen (Type 128) Wheel Set (SKP253) for the AFV Club model kit.
September 30th A few more hobby modeling products have been announced including CMK's 1/35 resin Škoda PA. 2 Turtle Model Kit (RA052) and MMK's 1/35 resin EPS Springer with M2 MG Model Kit (F3052) and 1/35 EPS Springer and Grizzly 450 Quad Bike Model Set (F3050).

September 26th Since we're on the subject of "Jeeps", we've updated our Bantam BRC-40 Recon Car vehicle index, which includes additional photos from the US Library of Congress.
September 25th While poking around the Imperial War Museum's website, we additional photos we could use, so among other things, we were able to update our LRDG/SAS Willys MB Jeep index quite substantially.

Also, we've added a new hyperlink in our "links" section to Chris Hughes' Toadman's Tank Pictures website. Chris specializes in providing superb military vehicle reference photo CD's with the modeler in mind.  In addition, he provides thousands of free photos on his website, some of which we've linked to here at WW.
September 23rd We've posted more photos of the Long Range Desert Group's Chevrolet 1533x2 30 cwt Patrol Truck courtesy of the British War Office via the Imperial War Museum.
September 22nd A new vehicle index has gone up today.  It covers the prototype US Helicopter Transportable Tactical Vehicle
September 21st Today we've totally re-vamped our LRDG Chevrolet 1533x2 30cwt Patrol Truck vehicle index. This update includes the addition of new photos and a lot of new information. 

Also, one hobby modeling product has been announced by Gaso.line: a 1/48 SdKfz 233 7.5 cm KwK 37 L/24 Stummel Armored Car Conversion (GAS48121) for the Tamiya Sdkfz 231 model kit.

September 19th We've added a couple more hyperlinks to our "IPMS/USA Local Chapter Website Links" section.  These include the homepages of the IPMS Borinqueneers of Puerto Rico and the Lakes Region Scale Modelers of Illinois.  In addition, we've added a hyperlink to the Resicast homepage at our "Links" page.  Resicast specializes in the manufacture of mostly anglo-centric military vehicle model kits and accessories
September 18th Victor Hernandez of AMPS Chicagoland has finished a model build article about the 1/35 Kinetic RG-31 Mark 3 Canadian Army MRAP with Remote Weapons Station kit.
September 17th  Here's an interesting photo courtesy of WW friend John Charvat.  It is of an actual piece of US Military equipment that is painted CARC 686 Desert Tan (FS 33446); the current "standard" overall modern US vehicle color.  However, it is actually closer in color to FS 33531; which matches the Vallejo Paints also shown in the photo.  Also interesting is that other equipment/vehicles have been documented as being painted in a color which more closely resembles the "standard" US FS 33446 color.  Whether the color difference is due to use/the elements or due to inconsistencies in paint manufacturing, has not been determined.

September 4th It's a Beaverette Bonanza!  We've posted new photos of the Beaverette Mark 3 Light Armored Car courtesy of Patrick and Ian Young, Editor of Military Machines International Magazine.
September 3rd While poking around his "to do" files, Patrick found some additional photos of the Humber Mark 4 Armored Car for posting; these in Israeli livery.
September 2nd Since we cleaned up our Duro IIIP vehicle index the other day, we figured we should create a new vehicle index for the closely related Yak Armored Multipurpose Vehicle as well.
September 1st We've added photos of the Ridgback Medium Protected Urban Patrol Vehicle, courtesy of Clive Elliott - Editor of The Shorland Site.
August 30th Today's addition to WW includes photos of "different" M8 Greyhound Armored Cars: WWII era Canadian crewed "hounds" and vehicles captured by German Forces.
August 29th While on "website clean-up duty", we've also updated our vehicle index on the Duro IIIP 6x6 Protected Military Tactical Vehicle. This update also includes adding more photos, a company sales brochure and expanding the data we have available on the vehicle.

Also, our friends at Model Miniature have a released a set of 1/72 Boxer MRV Wheels (MM-R147) for the Revell of Germany model kit.
August 27th We've updated our vehicle indices for the British Humber Mark 3 and Canadian Fox Mark 1 Armored Cars.
August 26th Today we have photos of the Serval Special Operations Vehicle courtesy of the German Bundeswehr.

And, there's been one hobby modeling product announcement by Best Value Models.  They are offering a 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Paris 1/35 Jeep model kit (BVMPA44OS4). The Jeep model is based on the Italeri kit and depicts the vehicle "MORT AUX CONS", which is one of the first vehicles reaching the center Paris during the Liberation. 
August 24th Paul is back with some photos of an M1234A1 Maxx Pro Plus Ambulance in use with Jordanian forces.
August 23rd And... back to the Canadian AVGP series again.  We've posted additional photos of the Grizzly 6x6 APC.
August 22nd   We just received WW sponsor Military Machines International Magazine's  September issue and it contains yet again a few articles that should be interesting to us wheeled fighting vehicle aficionados.  They are: "Daimler Dingo" by Editor Ian Young, "Heer 2011: Part 2" (covering the new structure of German ground combat forces) by Carl Schulze and"Standard Beaverette" by Phil Homer.  
August 20th Two additional hobby modeling products have been announced.  First, ET Models has announced their 1/35 Fennek LGS Weighted Wheel Set (ER35 059) and Voyager Models their 1/35 M1078 FMTV (Armored Cab) Basic Detail Set (PE35647), both for the applicable Trumpeter model kits.
August 19th Continuing on the Humber series of armored cars,  we've updated our Humber Mark 3 Armored Car index. This update also includes adding more photos, stowage diagrams and expanding the data we have available on the vehicle.
August 18th

  WW sponsor Airfix Model World Magazine has released their September issue and it contains two articles that should be interesting to many "wheelies".  The first is by Garry Tobiss and titled "On the Prowl" ; which covers his build of the 1/35 Revell of Germany Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen "Wolf" as he turns it into a into a Special Forces vehicle. The second is titled "Sandbox Speedster" and highlight's Stu Fone's build of the 1/48 Airfix British Quad Bike and Crew set.

August 17th To FINALLY complete the Humber AC series here on WW, we've added a vehicle index for ther Humber Mark 2 Armored Car.
August 16th Jumping back to the Canuck AVGP series, we've posted more photos of the Husky 6x6 Armored Recovery Vehicle.
August 15th We've updated our Humber Mark 1 Armored Car index. The update includes adding more photos, stowage diagrams and expanding the data we have available on the vehicle.
August 14th Today we have some photos of the German Enok 2 (5.4) LAPV via Paul.
 
Also, a couple more hobby modeling products have been announced.  First, Mantis Miniatures will be coming out with a 1/35 Kubelwagen Accessory Set (MAC05) for the Tamiya Kit and Model Miniature will be releasing their first 3D printed model kit in the form of a 1/72 VAB 4x4 APC (MM-R145). 
August 13th Patrick has posted some photos he took of a Canadian AVGP Cougar 6x6 FSV.

January 23rd Dave came up with some interesting photos of the US Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) with a 90mm MECAR gun mounted.
January 21st Finally, we've been able to put up an index for one of our favorite vehicles: the Australian SASR "Perentie" 6x6 Long Range Patrol Vehicle.

Also, there have been two interesting hobby modeling products announced including Miniart's 1/35 GAZ-AAA Truck model kit with Quad M-4 Maxim Machine Gun Mount (35177) and Resicast's 1/35 Ford Model T Ambulance-1917 retooled model kit (351118).

January 16th

  WW sponsor Military Machines International Magazine had a quick print turnaround this month and have released their February issue already.  As usual, it contains a number of wheeled vehicle related articles including "Into the Archives" (covering Saladin Armored Cars & Saracen APC's in Malaysia) by James Payne, "Military Roverphile" (looking at military Range Rovers) by James Taylor, "Robot Wars" (featuring the Victorian-era Fahrbade Panzerlafette mobile pillbox) by Jim Grant and "Timoney" (highlighting the Irish Armored Car Family) by Colin Stone.

January 15th Brent Sauer, Editor of the HMMWV In Scale website has sent us some photos of the M1200 Armored Knight ASV.  Also, hobby model products have been announced by PART.  They are a 1/35 Marmon-Herrington Mark 1 Detail Set (P35261) and Marmon-Herrington Mark 1 Fenders (P35262) both the IBG Models kit.
January 14th

  WW sponsor Airfix Model World Magazine has released their February 2014 issue already and there's a couple WFV-related articles in it.  The first is titled "The Steel Horse" (modeling the 1/72 Millicast Lanchester Mark II armored car) by Mike Grant and "Montgomery's Motor" (modeling the 1/32 Airfix "Monty's Humber" model kit) by Dave Fisher.

January 13th We've posted company sales brochures for the M1240 M-ATV, RG-32M Mine Protected Scout Vehicle and RG-35 Mine Protected Vehicle.
January 12th There's only a small update today which consists of hobby modeling products announced by Kit Form Services.  Their upcoming products are a 1/24 120mm L6 WOMBAT Anti Tank Gun (with Airportable Land Rover mount) (TQ-210) and 1/24 M40A1 106mm Recoilless Rifle (with FV1801 Champ mount) (TQ-211); both useable with the applicable KFS model kits.
January 11th Today we present the last of the LAV's (for now).  We've added a vehicle index for the LAV-L Logistics Vehicle.
January 10th We're back to the US LAV's with an index of the LAV-R Recovery Vehicle.
