October 3, 2006 Dave Haugh has provided more excellent photos of late model Brazilian EE-9 Cascavel Armored Cars on Exercise in Uruguay.

Please Note: This info has been corrected on October 4th.  It originally stated that the EE-9's were Uruguayan, but I've been notified that the vehicles belonged to the Brazilian Military on exercise in Uruguay.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

I've also added links to some armored car models located at Delbert's Scale Modeling Stash of Stuff.  You can find the appropriate armored cars at Delbert's index too.

October 1, 2006 With more modeling product reviews becoming available directly at WarWheels, I've added another major search option via the Homepage.  You can now search for modeling product reviews directly from it's own section.  Fittingly it is called "Product Reviews".  Check it out.

September 21, 2006 Holy Guacamole, I hadn't noticed how long it has been since updating the site.  Sorry folks, life has gotten in the way again and prevented me from working on the site as much as I would like.  Hopefully, I can get back to biz.  First up, I've added another hyperlink to the site.  It called Vietnam Guntrucks and if you have any interest in those types of vehicles, check it out.

Second, I'd like to try to catch you all up on new or upcoming modeling products related to armored cars and WFVs. These include a new tool 1/35 Sdkfz 234/2 Puma Armored Car by Dragon and four (4) detail sets by Voyager for the DML 1/35 SdKfz. 234/4 Armored Car (PE35103, PE35116, PE35119 & PE35120)

The information was originally presented in a document of the same name by the (US) Office, Chief of Ordnance-Detroit.  Dave has made the article easier for us to understand by including notes and photos of most (if not all) of the armored cars referenced in the report.  Thanks Dave!

May, 25 2006 I'M ALIVE!!!!  Just joking of course, but it probably does seem like I dropped off the end of the planet lately to you all.  I have been so busy with "life" that I just hadn't had time to work on WW.  Hopefully, things have slowed down enough for me to get back to doing this type of fun stuff I enjoy so much.  Now, back to the show...

April 7, 2006 Sorry it's been awhile since any updates have been put up on WW. Right now is a very hectic time for me and my family and unfortunately WW has been a low priority to me.  With that being said, I hope to be able to include updates more often now.

First of all, I am adding another hyperlink for Sargeant At Arms Models.  SAAM is the sole distributor of SP Designs Models of the Ukraine, which specializes in Eastern European Vehicle Kits and Conversions.

Second, courtesy of serial contributor Dennis Trowbridge, I've posted over another two dozen or so photos of the Bovington Panhard EBR 75 FL 10 and the T18E2 Boarhound Armored Cars.

March 21, 2006 I've added a vehicle index on the American T9 Armored Car, complete with Data Sheet.
March 18, 2006 Well, I am back to myself!  I was very sick this past week with the flu and was unable to do much of anything, let alone maintain and update WW.  Sorry for that little inconvenience and thanks for your patience.

My first addition since last week is a page of photos of the 1/35 Electric Products EE-9 Cascavel 4/5/6/7 Model kit contents.  Thanks to Pierre Delattre for allowing me post his photos from Missing-Lynx.

March 7, 2006 I am proud to announce a new type of resource we've added to WarWheels.  They are called "Data Sheets" and have been created by Dave Haugh.

As you've probably noticed, we've only given basic and rudimentary info about each vehicle in the "Statistics" section of it's vehicle index.  Well, from this date forward (when possible) we are going to include more detailed information about the vehicles.  This detailed info will be located on Data Sheets.  If a data sheet is available for a vehicle, a hyperlink to a PDF document will be in the "Statistics" section.  The first two data sheets we've added to WW are about the M38 Wolfhound Armored Car and the White 1917 (4x2) Armored Car.

March 5, 2006 I've added more photos of the XM-808 Twister and the M8 Greyhound courtesy of Dave Haugh.

Also, speaking of Dave, if you have spent any time here browsing WW, you probably have noticed that Dave has provided a very large portion of the material I have for display. Also, you might be aware that his Armored Car Journal was the inspiration of WW as well.  With that being said, I am very proud to announce Dave has "officially" become a WW team member.  "Unofficially", he has always been a team player with WW.  Anyway, Dave is now officially Contributing Editor of WW.  You can contact him via contenteditor@warwheels.net .  Thanks Dave!

February 9, 2006 With much excitement, I am including a link to pages outlining Dragon's (new tool) Sdkfz 234/4 Armored Car.  I can't WAIT for this one to come out!

Also, I've added hyperlinks to two more great modeling websites in our "Links" section.  They are to The Armoured Acorn - The Canadian Armour Website and WW2 Model Maker. Enjoy.

January 23, 2006 I've added some interesting pictures of the Baker 4x4 and Baker 8x8 Jumping Tanks courtesy of John Gurzik.
January 22, 2006 I've added another picture of the XM-800W armored scout vehicle, thanks to Dave Haugh.

Lastly, since the start of WarWheels.Net, I have had numerous requests from visitors regarding the availability of scale line drawings of certain WFV's.  In fact, I had another one today.  Each time my immediate thought is to refer them to George Bradford's AFV News website where he has excellent line of scale drawings available for sale at VERY reasonable prices.  Since this subject has come up a number of times and it is apparent to me that not all modelers or vehicle enthusiasts know of this reference option, I feel that it may be a good idea to put out the word a bit on these wonderful drawings.  Mr. Bradford has 1/48 scale drawings and 1/35 scale drawings available.

Please note: I have no business relationship in any way with Mr. Bradford.  I am just a very satisfied customer of his and I really feel that these are one of the "best values" in modeling references available.

January 21, 2006 I've added pictures from another one of contributors who is also a vehicle collector.  Dave Chaney of Portland Oregon has sent us some pics or his Commando Scout, V-100 Ferret Mark 2/3.

I've also added a vehicle index on the MB-1 Cascavel-37 CRR (EE-9 Prototype) and a photo of a Brazilian M8 Greyhound with Mercedes-Benz Diesel Engine, both courtesy of Dave Haugh.

Also, I've added a link to a review by Terry Ashley of PMMS of the 1/35 IMA Beaverette III

I've discovered yet another manufacturer of what appears to be very nice models of wheeled fighting vehicles.  They are called Retrokit and specialize in 1/72 resin kits and accessories.  They are based in the UK and have some very interesting vehicles available including a 1/72 Lancia IZm Armored Car and a 1/72 model of Leonardo Da Vinci's theoretical 'Tortoise' Tank.  Also, 1/72 1/72 Soviet FAI and FAI-M Armored Cars are future releases as well.

January 19, 2005 I've cleaned up my "Links" section by updating some URL's and removed sites that no longer appeared to be in operation.  At the same time added a link to the IPMS/UK .

Also, I've cleaned up a few model sections by adding new modeling products.  Check out your favorite vehicle to see if anything has been added.

January 17, 2006 As you can see, I haven't really done much with WW lately.  As things happen sometimes, regular life gets in the way of the hobby.  I have some more stuff I need to post and I hope to do that shortly.  I thought I'd just stick my head up and show everyone I'm still of this Earth.

A review of the new 1/35 Eduard Detail Set for the Italeri AB-41 armored car is available by Frank DeSisto via Missing-Lynx.

January 6, 2006 Courtesy of Steve Conran, I've included photos of an Irish Army Panhard AML-90 Armored Car taken at a 2005 "Shoot".  That little vehicle sure makes a big mess when it fires and also I'd assume a HUGE "boom".
January 2, 2006 I've added an index on the M8 Brasileiro 4x4 CRR courtesy of David Haugh.
January 1, 2006 I would like to wish you and your families a happy and prosperous New Year for 2006!
