December 28th Today we're listing some hobby modeling products recently announced.  They include Dragon Models' 1/35 Jeep 1/4 Ton Ambulance with Bonus GI Figures (6832), MK Model's 1/35 IVECO SOG Conversion (F3056) for the Italeri kit; and MR Modellbau's 1/35 ATF Dingo 2 Bundeswehr "MITAS" Tire Set (MR35499), ATF Dingo 2 Bundeswehr "Michelin" Tire Set (MR3520), both for the Revell of Germany kit and 1/35 GM C15TA "Trumphy"??? December 27th Guenther Neumahr has come through with more Piranha Pics: These covering the Piranha 2 4x4 APC and Piranha 2 8x8 Mortar Vehicle Prototype.
December 24th Dave Williams has sent in photos of his latest model build: ANOTHER 1/35 Dragon Models' Sdkfz 234/2 "Puma" Armored Car kit.
December 23rd Christophe Jacquemont is back with photos of the MEX-1 Armored Personnel Carrier.
December 22nd Today we have a small update with two (2) photos of the Foxhound Lightweight Protected Patrol Vehicle via NATO.

And once again, just one more WW-relevant hobby modeling product was recently announced: MK Model's 1/35 Dingo 2 GE C1 (Maintenance Vehicle) Conversion (F3055) for the Revell of Germany kit.
December 21st New WW contributor Steve Heeb has sent us some great photos of the M1245 MATV Special Forces Vehicle.

And here's one additional hobby modeling product recently announced: SKP Model's 1/35 Schwimmwagen Wheel Set (SKP 251).
December 20th Very recently WW sponsor Minor Model and resin aftermarket set manufacturer AGV Models, combined talents to form a new joint venture named BSM.  Even better news is that BSM has also started releasing hobby products that should be very interesting to us "wheelies".  BSM's latest newsletter contains exciting information about three new sets for the venerable Land Rover Series 2 and 3 model kits long available.  They are: 1/35 Land Rover Series 3 Upgrade Set (352001) for the Italeri/Revell of Germany/Testors kits, 1/35 Land Rover Series 2/3 Wheel Set (352003) and 1/35 Land Rover Series 2/3 Spare Tire Set (352006).  For more information and photos, check out BSM's December Newsletter.
December 8th If you're getting tired of Piranhas, then you're out of luck.  Today we've posted more photos via Guenther, these of the Piranha 1B 4x4 APC and Piranha 1B 6x6 APC Prototypes.
December 7th The Parade of Piranhas continues with Guenther's next installment, photos of the Piranha 2 8x8 Military Police Vehicle.
December 6th Guenther Neumahr has struck again with photos of a Swiss Piranha 1 6x6 Police Vehicle.

And yet again, two more hobby modeling products have been announced: HobbyBoss' 1/35 BA-6 Armored Car Model Kit (83839) and Tiger Model's 1/35 VBL Light Armored Car Model Kit with 12.7mm M2 Machine Gun (4619).
December 1st New WW contributor Guenther Neumahr has jumped right in with both feet by providing photos of the Spy 4x4 Recon Vehicle.

  We've just received the November Issue from WW sponsor Airfix Model World Magazine and if you're a fan of the Land Rover Series IIA SAS "Pink Panther" Patrol Vehicle, you'll be mighty pleased. The issue contains three (3) articles dedicated to the beloved "Pinkie".  They are "Tickled Pink", which features Paul Cawte's build of the 1/35 Tamiya model kit; "Pink But Deadly", Ian Young's article profiling the real vehicle in action; and "Pinkie Peeks", a walk-around vehicle photo special, also presented by Ian.

November 5th Today, we've put up Patrick's review of the new book "Italian Artillery of World War Two", authored by Enrico Finazzer & Ralph Riccio.  Besides covering "normal" artillery, the book also provides coverage of wheeled vehicles including, anti-aircraft vehicles, artillery tractors, truck-mounted artillery and wheeled fighting vehicles. 
November 2nd Spurred on by more photos from Rob Skipper, we've revamped our Otokar Armored Patrol Vehicle Index.
November 1st Courtesy of long-time friend of WW, Robert Skipper, we have some photos of a U.S. Navy Lenco Bearcat G2 APC.
October 31st   We've already received Classic Military Vehicle's November issue and although it is a special installment "Celebrating 100 Years of the Tank", there are a couple of articles dedicated to the non-tracked vehicles we so love. They are "How to Move an Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile..." (featuring Soviet/Russian heavy transporter/erector vehicles) authored by James Kinnear and "If at First You Don't Succeed..." (covering the Morris Moke & Austin Ant Utility Vehicles) authored by James Taylor.
October 30th Going back to the past again, here are more photos of the pre-standardized Ford GP Jeep 1/4 ton Utility Vehicle.
October 29th Our newest addition consists of an index for the unusual Pearson Engineering Route Opening & Clearance Capability (PEROCC) Vehicle.
October 25th Today, we've added a new vehicle index on the Badger International Light Armored Vehicle (ILAV).

October 2nd We're back after another hiatus; Patrick was on vacation with the family for a bit. However, during that time off he wasn't idle working on WW.  He visited the U.S. Veterans Memorial Museum in Huntsville, Alabama USA photographing their unique collection of wheeled vehicles.  The first installment from that trip comes in the form of photos of their Willys MA Jeep 1/4 Ton Utility Vehicle.
September 22nd After a bit of a lull, we've posted photos Patrick took of the Daimler Mark 1 Armored Car displayed at the Imperial War Museum in London.
September 10th Gino Quintiliani kindly pointed us in the direction of some photos held by the US National Archives showing Italian Centauro B1 Tank Destroyers being tested by the US 2nd Infantry Division, circa 2001.
September 7th   Courtesy of new WW contributor "RSB", we've added a unique photo of the Bedford RL "Pig" Armored Truck serving in Malaysia with the REME Advanced Workshop Detachment in 1965. 
September 6th We've added two (2) photos of the New Zealand Light Armored Vehicle (NZLAV) Infantry Mobility Vehicle via (surprisingly) the U.S. Department of Defense.

August 30th Once again, work & home life have gotten in the way of us working on WW. August 22nd Another small update to the site with photos from the Imperial War Museum.  They are two pics of the Humber Scout Car and one of the Staghound "Bantu" Mine Detector.

August 9th More pics via the British Ministry of Defence have been added.  These new ones cover the Husky Medium Tactical Supply Vehicle.

July 31st With much more info now becoming available about US MRAP's, we've been doing overhauls of our applicable vehicle indices.  This time we've updated/split our Caiman 6x6 MRAP index into two new ones: M1220 Caiman 6x6 MRPV & M1230 Caiman "Plus" 6x6 TVS. Besides the reorganization, we've added new information and a TON of additional photos.
July 30th Another small update has gone up in the form of three (3) photos of the Australian Bushmaster PMV courtesy of Electro Optic Systems Pty, Ltd. (EOS).
July 28th A couple more Sdkfz 263 8-Wheel Armored Radio Car photos have been added courtesy of the Imperial War Museum.
July 26th Today we've added a new vehicle index for the WW 1 Era Russian Putilov-Garford Armored Car.
July 25th   WW sponsor Classic Military Vehicle has sent out their August issue, which is billed as the "Dunkirk Special"; which commemorates the 75th Anniversary of that event.  Although there are a great many photos of armored cars/wheeled fighting vehicles in the mag, there is only one article dedicated exclusively to "wheelies"; that being "Munga For The Masses" (covering the Auto Union F91 "Munga" 4x4 Utility Vehicle) authored by James Taylor.
July 24th Back to Wehrmacht pics courtesy of the Imperial War Museum. Today's addition consists of more Sdkfz 233 8 Rad Armored Car photos.

Also, Trumpeter has announced a 1/35 M983 HEMTT/M901 Launching Station & AN/MPQ-53 Radar Model Kit Set (01022). This set makes up the PAC 2 MIM-104 Patriot SAM System.
July 23rd While poking around his files, Patrick found some pics he forgot he had of the Cougar H A1 4x4 MRAP via Anthony Basso.
July 21st Another small addition today courtesy of the Imperial War Museum; This time photos of the Sdkfz 234/3 Armored Car.
July 20th Our small update consists of a few photos covering the Sdkfz 234/2 "Puma" Armored Car via the Imperial War Museum.
July 19th We've done a massive overhaul of our Cougar MRAP index, actually splitting into two new indices; Cougar H 4x4 MRAP & Cougar HE 6x6 MRAP.  Besides the reorganization, we've added new information and many additional photos.
July 18th Today we have a small update in the form of two photos of a Nigerian Otokar Cobra APC.
July 13th Dave Williams is back yet again with photos of his latest modeling project build: a 1/35 Tamiya RAF Sdkfz 222 Armored Car.
July 12th More hobby modeling products have been announced including Blast Models'  1/35 Modern MRAP HID/LED Light Bars (BL35226K), 1/35 Modern MRAP "Medium" Tow Bars (BL35231K) & 1/35 Modern "Light" Tow Bars (Humvee, Etc) (L35233K) and Voyager Model's 1/35 US Cougar 4X4 MRAP "Additional Parts" Set  (PEA355) for the Panda Hobby Kit and 1/35 US Cougar 6X6 MRAP "Additional Parts" Set (PEA362) for the Meng Models kit. July 11th Today we've finally added an index for the last remaining vehicle in the "pre-standardized" Jeep series: the Ford GP 1/4 Ton Utility Vehicle.       
July 10th We've added a very interesting photo of an M-ATV in 3-color NATO camoflage, courtesy of the 15th BSB/2 BCT of the US 1st Cavalry Division.

Also, we've included a new hyperlink to Bush War Books in our "links" section.  Bush War Books specializes in references related to the South West African, Angolan and Rhodesian conflicts.       
July 9th Friend of WW, David Doyle has authored another stellar set of (2) books titled "US Dodge: The Development and Deployment of Dodge Military Trucks 1940-1975".  The books are published by The Ampersand Group and number a total of over 1,000 pages and contain well over 1,700 images.  Although the lion-share of the book covers soft-skins, a few armed/armored vehicles are highlighted, most notably the M6 37mm GMC.  For more info, check out Chuck Aleshire's excellent review via the Armor Modeling and Preservation Society.        
July 5th A little change up for something different, thanks to Dave Williams sending us some photos of his 1/35 Miniart AEC Mark 3 Armored Car model kit.
July 4th Today we've added additional photos of the Turkish Hotchkiss Model 1909 Armored Car.
July 3rd You're probably sick of British vehicles by now, but that's what's going up again as we have tons of that stuff to post.  Sorry.  Anyway, we've revamped our Vector Protected Patrol Vehicle index and added more photos courtesy of the UK Ministry of Defense (yet again).

June 27th   WW sponsor Classic Military Vehicle has released their July issue and yet again contains a few articles featuring wheeled fighting vehicles.  The articles are "Classical GAZ" (covering the BA-64 Armored Car) by John Blackman, "German Armoured Reconnaissance" (looks at WWII era vehicles) by John G. Teasdale and "Last of the Line?" (featuring the Land Rover R-WMIK+) by great friend of WW, Ian Young.
June 25th We've finished the last of our massive Mastiff vehicle index upgrade by posting a bunch of new photos of all versions (1, 2 & 3) of the Mastiff PPV, via the UK Ministry of Defence. Check out the individual MoD listings to check the new photos out.
June 24th A few more very interesting hobby modeling products have been announced. May 18th Today we've put up a new hyperlink to the National Armor and Cavalry Heritage Foundation in our "links" section.  The foundation is the organization that is raising funds for the construction of the National Armor and Cavalry Museum at Fort Benning, Georgia.  Besides other artifacts, that museum will eventually house and display the armor collection once held at the Patton Musuem at Ft. Knox, Kentucky.
May 17th Speaking of new books by David Doyle and the Ampersand Group, Inc., David has released another new book titled, "U.S. Half-Tracks: The Development and Deployment of the US Army's Half-Track Vehicles -Volume One" .  Although the lion's share of the book covers half-tracks, a whopping 81 pages is dedicated to M3A1 Scout Car, and could very well be the best reference on the subject to date. 
May 16th Friend of WW, author David Doyle, has released his latest book titled "High Mobility: A Visual History of the US Army's Modern High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle - Part 1".  Published by the Ampersand Group, Inc., the book covers the HMMWV variants M1025, M1038, M1044, Avenger Anti-Aircraft Vehicle, M997 Ambulance, M1151A1, M1165A1 and M1152A1 with B2 Shop-Equipment Contant-Maintenance (SECM) repair station.

Sorry it's been a bit since our last update.  Patrick has been working on some home improvements the past week or so and has been busy with "real life".  Anyway, only one small update for today; that in the form of some hobby product news from Accurate Armour.  They are releasing a 1/35 Land Rover RUC Tangi (Early) Conversion Set (LRA012) for the Hobby Boss kit and a 1/35 Land Rover 'One Ten' Chassis Set (LRA007).  The chassis set can be used for the Tangi Conversion or on other projects, including upgrading the Hobby Boss kits!
